Local 638’s training programs have produced a stable, skilled workforce responsible for building and maintaining piping systems in various commercial, industrial and residential facilities in New York City and Long Island.

No one can match our investment and commitment to educating our members. Local 638 spends over $4 Million annually on training programs. In addition to our rigorous five-year apprenticeship program, Local 638 provides for continuing education and certification programs for journeyperson steamfitters in both our construction and service branch’s.
